Artistry and craftsmanship

Manuel Palos is an accomplished master stone carver and architectural sculptor with more than 30 years of experience in architectural restoration, conservation projects and custom sculpture. Manuel does custom work for Architects, Interior Designers, builders, contractors and landscape designers across the country. He is one of the leaders in architectural restoration and has worked on many notable projects nationwide.


Eagles atop the Pacific Telephone BuildingThe name Manuel Palos stands for artistry and craftsmanship and his work can be found internationally from private commissions to major public placements including several projects for the City and County of San Francisco. His work has included the restoration of the Palace of Fine Arts and the mythological figures at the Legion of Honor, and the sculpting of the eight Eagles atop the Pacific Telephone Building.


To hone his artistry and perfect his craft and he spent time living in Italy studying stone carving, in time becoming a master stone carver and sculptor. Until recently he had a studio there and regularly returned to Italy to work. He has become well-known for his many private and public commissions, including several projects for the City and County of San Francisco, including the restoration of the mythological figures at the Legion of Honor. In addition to his work, he also teaches stone carving in his studio in San Francisco and holds workshops in stone carving and sculpture in his studio in Puerto Vallarta.
